Embrace

This is a photo that is going to become a part of a project for my Design and Image class in my Design program. The project is about exploring the different possible meanings behind a simple object (in my case, safety pins).

I thought about safety pins being used in the context of a mother pinned a baby's diaper. This led me to think of the whole mothering aspect, and the connection between mother and child.

I wanted to express this through the object itself so I twisted 2 safety pins into a loving embrace and photographed them in a soft, white environment
