Again this is a sculpture I made for my safety pin project (see piece entitled "Embrace" for description of project). I was bending some safety pins absently in my hands while watching TV, and I noticed one of them reminded me of a flower.
I twisted and bent safety pins of all different sizes and placed them on a green plane to try and create a slightly twisted (no pun intended) and surreal kind of flower garden. The actual sculpture is much bigger then what is shown in the photo, but I liked the close up shot that made you feeling like you where walking amongst the "Flowers" |
